Scooter make up half of all vehicles in Bangkok. Many times, entire families of 3 or 4 people on one scooter. They weave in and out of traffic. There was an accident right in front of my taxi yesterday. The scooter tried to go between two cars but the handle bar hit the side of the car and crashed. Most all riders wear helmets. I really helped this guy. There were scratches from where he hit the pavement.
